Panelist Biography

Antoine Blondeau is co-founder and managing partner of Alpha Intelligence Capital, a global  venture capital fund of USD 185 million investing in deep Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) technology-based companies. 

Antoine has lived and worked in Japan, Hong Kong, Germany, the US and France. A seasoned entrepreneur and investor, Antoine has 25 years of experience in the technology industry, having held senior leadership positions at Good Technology, Salesforce.com, and Sybase. As an entrepreneur, Antoine was the CEO of Dejima, the company that later evolved into Apple’s Siri. Antoine was also COO of Zi Corporation, whose smart text input software was embedded in hundreds of millions of devices. He was also the co-founder of Sentient Technologies, one of the most advanced AI platform companies in the US.

Antoine is a personal investor, board member and advisor in a number of technology companies in the US, Greater China and Europe. He is an advisor to Pictet & Cie and to Kohlberg Kravis Roberts (KKR). Antoine holds a MBA from the Paris Graduate School of Management (ESCP) and has studied at Chuo University in Tokyo. He is the author of 6 patents.

Charles-Edouard Bouée is the Managing Partner of Alpha Intelligence Capital (AIC). From 2013 to 2019, he served as global CEO of Roland Berger, the only leading global consulting firm of European origin, which he led from crisis through transformation to a record year in the firm's history of over 50 years. Today, he acts as a Senior Advisor for the company.

During his more than 20-year tenure in the consulting industry, Charles-Edouard became a seasoned expert in large-scale strategy and reorganization projects, as well as performance improvement. He specializes in disruptive innovation, new technologies and digital transformation, and has developed particular expertise in Artificial Intelligence.
Charles-Edouard has lived and worked in France, UK, US, Germany and China – and today operates out of China (Shanghai and Hong Kong) with strong ties to his hometown, Paris. A Harvard Business School (HBS) MBA alumni (class of 1995), he is on the Advisory Board of the China Europe International Business School (CEIBS), and is involved in the World Economic Forum’s Global Artificial Intelligence Council. He has authored a number of groundbreaking books on modern management and China in both English and French, and they have been translated into various languages, including Chinese and Japanese.

Prof. Pascale Fung, director of CAiRE, has lived, studied, and worked in China, Hong Kong, Japan, the US and France. She has taught many students who became entrepreneurs around the world, including China, Hong Kong, the US, EU and India. She is the scientific advisor and consultant for a number of AI startups and companies in Greater China and the US.
